WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR FIRST SESSION

  • What is Coaching?
    iPEC defines coaching as "partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential". The international Coach Federations adds "the powerful difference between a regular conversation and a coaching conversation is that a coaching conversation has an outcome. The coach partners with his or her clients to establish a meaningful outcome for each session that helps them to make progress towards their overarching goal for the coaching engagement".
  • Are your Coaches certified?
    Yes, our executive coaches are either in training (completing at least 100 hours minimum training time) or have completed training to be Certified Professional Coaches through an International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited program. The International Coach Federation (ICF) is the leading global organization dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high standards, providing independent certification and building a worldwide network of trained coaching professionals.
  • What should I expect during a session?
    Each session is 60 minutes. During each session, you can expect your coach to inquire about your goals, your definition of success to achieve those goals and setting forward a plan to achieve those goals. All conversations are confidential.
  • Do I need to prepare for my first session?
    At times, your coach will ask you to complete light pre-session work. Prior to your upcoming session, it is also ideal for you to take a few moments to reflect on your last session, as well as your progress and challenges.
  • How long is each session?
    Sessions are 60 minutes each. Introductory sessions are limited to 45 minutes each.
  • Do I need to install software for our virtual meeting?
    Endeavor Coaching uses Zoom virtual meeting service or phone calls to conduct meetings. Zoom allows you to join a meeting from a browser, or you can install the software onto your device. Prior to your session, your coach will send you a meeting invitation with a distinct URL for your coming session. For more information visit www.zoom.us
  • Do our discussions remain confidential?
    Yes, all discussions are confidential. Your executive coach may ask permission to take notes during your session. All handwritten notes are stored in a locked and protected location. All digital notes are stored on an encrypted drive, and is not stored in the cloud or on a personal device.
  • Why are multi-session plans the only option for coaching?
    Coaching is most effective over a multi-week period. All packages are six 1-hour sessions. This allows the coach and the client to set and achieve goals, while clearing blockers. Shorter periods are offered for some coaching topics. Please ask your coach for more details.
  • I need to change the time of my coaching session.  How do I reschedule?
    Once you have an assigned coach, they will share their virtual calendar with you. You will be able to reschedule per your coach's availability. If rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice, there is a $20 rescheduling fee.
  • How much does it cost?
    Endeavor Coaching is focused on pro-bono and reduced-cost coaching options. Please reach out via the contact us form to inquire if there are client openings.
  • How can I apply for pro bono coaching?
    Endeavor Coaching provides pro bono coaching services for those that qualify: - individuals that make under $20/hour - individuals who have been unemployed for over 6 months - individuals over 55 and looking for a new job and/or career transition - parents who took a break from their career to raise children and are planning to re-enter the job market Please contact us to apply for services.
